So this semester I’ve learnt about social media, HTML writing, Blogs, Web 2.0, Multiplicity and Data visualisation. All of these things are the makers of the web as we know it today. I have learnt alot about networked media despite my injuries meaning I couldnt go to class. I have also learnt alot about how I myself use Networked Media. Coming into the subject I didn’t really understand that I used Networked Media everyday but it turns out I do. Through Facebook which I use for personal use, Flickr which I use for another one of my subjects, Youtube which I use for both personal and subject use and search engines which are used by billions of people everyday. I learnt that as the web progressed the writers became broader to the extent that the writers is now everyone that uses social media. I made a video about youtube and I also made a showcase about dancing. This I found very interesting even though when I made my showcase I was highly medicated. I have had to bog every week and think about what I have been learning as I was learning it. I look back on my blogs and see how I have progressed in blog writing. I have learnt alot in this subject and will take with me what I’ve learnt into my next courses and everytime I hear the world networked or social media I will think of the first day I walked into the lecture.
