Multiplicity
This week I missed out on the lecture and tutorial because of yet another injury. Ridiculous I know. As I chatted to my tute buddies they explained to me that this week was about Multiplicity. Dananananananana BATMAN. Ok not that multiplicity? No not that multiplicity instead this multiplicity means being able to do multiple things at the same time. So basically it means that the web is able to produce many different types of media for all different types of people on the web. Although because so many people can upload media to the web when you search for one thing you can get multiple results for that one piece of media making you able to choose what video format that you want etc.
Search engines try to fight the multiplicity effect resulting in an epic battle of users uploading the same thing and search engines trying to control the amount of results that a user will get by typing in a media search.
Many hands make light work. Its a good thing that computers are good at what they do and can do many things at the same time.
