Holidays are over.
Holidays are over and they weren’t long enough I say. Now I’m really back fully functioning etc. Well for now…
This week we focused on youtube and how it was founded and bought about. We also looked at other social media such as Flickr and Vimeo. All three of these websites are used to display a new form of artwork, also to display people sharing their feelings with the world.
This week I caught up on more stuff we missed out on.
Also this week the lecture was about Web 2.0. Web 2.0 is basically the new Web 1.0 it’s built more around social Media. Facebook, Youtube, Flickr etc. Web 2.0 is about everyone writing the web not just specific people like web designers or people with Information Technology degrees. Web 2.0 makes the world more accessable for everyone.

The whole basis of these sites is so that us as users of the web can also be creators of the web. Many advertising companies endorse facebook and you tube as that is what people want to see and read about in this day and age. The web needed to upgrade otherwise I wouldn’t be sitting here typing this right now.
